Following the enormous success of the Ferrari F355, Ferrari faced the difficult challenge of improving upon what many considered one of the greatest sports cars ever produced. The result was the Ferrari 360 Modena and, shortly afterwards, the 360 Spider. Built upon an all-new aluminium chassis and featuring dramatically revised styling, the 360 represented a significant step forward for Ferrari whilst retaining the raw driving experience that made its predecessor so beloved. Gone were the sharp lines, side strakes and pop-up headlights of earlier Ferraris. In their place came flowing curves, improved aerodynamics and a modern design language that remains instantly recognisable today. The 360 Spider was always intended to be an integral part of the model range and combined the same 400 bhp naturally aspirated V8 engine with the added appeal of open-top driving. Of the more than 17, 000 Ferrari 360 models produced, only 2, 164 were supplied to the UK market.
