Description
This is a standard looking BSA B50MX (with the exception of the cylinder fins which are cut CCM style). Forks and shocks are standard BSA items as are the cam, 4 speed gearbox, clutch and carb. The seat and side panels are new (std B50MX items) and the tank is the original BSA 1 gallon factory type (with a couple of knee dings).
Although the frame is an exact copy of the factory pattern '70 -'73 OIF type, it has been made from significantly lighter tubing by Mike Eatough (who I believe later made frames for Alan Clews). The machine was commissioned and sold by a Northamptonshire dealer, Mick Berrill, and is believed to be one of 11 made.
The wheels have Akron alloy rims and the hubs (standard BSA) have been lightened. There are a few titanium parts. The ignition is a recent Electrexworld system (self generating). The frame paintwork is slightly scruffy as a sprayed finish rather than powder coated.
It is a fast and light machine which is ready to race.
