Beschreibung
For sale is my 1968 Triumph Herald. The car has been modified and upgraded with a period feel whilst making it fast, tractable and great to drive. Running gear throughout is Spitfire 1500 including gearbox (non-overdrive) and diff (3. 64 ratio for comfortable motorway cruising). The chassis and underside are clean, waxoiled (every year) and rock solid. The body does have some bubbles abound the front of the roof at the top of the windscreen, a-pillars and O/ S wheel arch. Nothing terminal or unrepairable, but also not getting any worse and does not make the car unpresentable. It has great patina having been subject to an older restoration and has been lovingly used and aged well. It is by no means scruffy, but full of character.
Virtually all the parts were sourced through Canley Classics (I cannot recommend them highly enough) and it comes with a mountain of receipts, paperwork and old MOTs to show its detailed its history.
The car has a full MOT (26/ 04/ 16) and has just been serviced: Engine oil and filter, transmission oil, diff oil and all grease nipples and trunnions greased/ oiled as required. It is turn-key ready to go for summer!
The car was featured in Retro Cars as a long-term staff car culminating in a full feature.
