Finished in Primrose Yellow with Black Leather this particular MGC was built between 30/ 31 December 1968 then registered 8th January 1969 (Heritage Certificate supplied) and is a matching numbers car. In 2015 the car was totally restored (bare shell rotisserie restoration) to a superb standard also retaining its original aluminium bonnet, front wings, doors, sills and boot lid and has covered less than 300 miles since. Every nut and bolt was changed and the engine was totally rebuilt including a lightened and balanced flywheel and unleaded conversion with ‘Payen’ head gasket set by Classic and Modern Engine Services of Berkshire (Marque Specialists). Virtually everything is new or reconditioned (bills for over £17, 000 in just parts alone without labour!). All glass, screen, quarter lights, chrome wire wheels, tyres, bumpers, mouldings, grill, seats, new dash/ instruments, Motalita wheel, carpets, mats, tonneau, bookrack, stainless steel exhaust system, hood and packaway frame all new. Other works include but are not limited to: all rebuilt/ new ancillaries with US inlet manifold, rebuilt overdrive gearbox, clutch and all hydraulics. All new braking system with correct MKII B Girling servo, complete new Fuel system, tank, pump, and copper lines. All new engine cooling system, including radiator, water pump and hoses. The underside and engine bay are both detailed to show standard. There really is to much to list. If they still made MGC’s this would be as close to a new one (if not better!) as you could get ! Without doubt an appreciating asset to any collection or for use as a show car or high days and holidays car. PROMISE NO DISAPPOINTMENTS, VIEW BY PRE APPOINTMENT ONLY PLEASE.
