For sale our 1979 Porsche 911 SC Targa 3L RHD finished in Helios blue and black leather interior and the iconic Fuchs wheels a numbers matching car including Chassis, gearbox and engine number supported by the Porsche Authenticity certificate with just 127k miles on the clock.
Im told this year is the 50th anniversary of the Targa our car has just 2 years to wait to be tax exempt.
What I know about the car is it was originally sold by Porsche UK and then was exported to Norway in approximately 1982/ 3 where it stayed until 2015 when I bought her back to the UK, the salt free roads out there and good care of the previous owners have kept her in good condition, in the time in Norway I have the copies of the equivalent of their MOT each 2 years and receipts for various jobs, it's had a new black leather dash and console fitted as well as an upgraded front clip giving it a newer Carrera turbo style inset front fogs. An electric shut off switch was also fitted as well as the targa roof having new material inside and out.
In my ownership there was a whale tail fitted at first but it ruined the look in my opinion so it's been removed, a Sony stereo was put in and at great expense many of the seals have been changed as well as other jobs which bought up the standard of the car, she definitely runs and drives great and had various jobs done last year by the great team at RPM Porsche who I would highly recommend unlike another local Porsche specialist. Recently a new Bosch battery was fitted. Gone through 2 MOTs with no issues.
The price of the car is not crazy and they continue to appreciate in value, so please no silly bids as its a waste of both yours and our time, I want to sell the car and to see her go to a good new owner who will need to address the bits I haven't got to which are, 1) addressing oil leaks as all of these old Porsche have 2) exhaust needs to be changed 3) the front windows quarters need to be lifted to make her water tight, I have kept her in a garage and loved my ownership, I'm only selling as we just moved home and we want to have some work done in our new place.
