A 1963 MG B roadster, registration number 396 PUO, chassis number G-HN3/ 15488, body number 14967, engine number 18G-U-H/ 15540, Tartan red. This early pull handle B roadster was built on 26/ 27 June 1963, and was dispatched on 3 July to its first Devon owner. *** The current lady owner purchased the MG in 1990 from Mr Raymond George Green (not Mr Geoff Hocking). The V5C shows only one former keeper, however the owner believes there was at least one other owner prior to Mr Green.*** The vendor embarked on a full bare shell restoration of the MG to its original specification of Tartan red coachwork, red leather interior with black piping and red hood. It still retains its original engine which has been uprated with hardened valves for lead free petrol compatibility. She still sits on steel wheels as per the original build specifications. The only non-standard items fitted are an electric cooling fan and a stainless steel exhaust. There is an accompanying history file with numerous receipts for the restoration, maintenance, historical receipts from past owners, a photograph album of the restoration and previous MOTs. This well presented and restored example of an early pull handle roadster is now only for sale due to the vendor using the MG less and less and she now feels that it deserves to go to a good custodian who will use it more fully.
