1968 Austin Healey 3000 MK III
Austin Healey 3000 Mk III chassis H-BJ8/ 42637. This Phase II version of the Mk III, is a genuine UK RHD car and the 388th from the final production car. Built in Abingdon and originally sold in Oxfordshire. This car is being sold on behalf of the 3rd owner who has owned the car since 1976.
Major body and mechanical works completed by JME Healeys in 2012. A structurally superb car. The car retains its original chassis, has excellent panel gaps and was rebuilt using all its original outer bodywork. All original interior seats and trim panels were retained, new carpets and a new vinyl hood fitted. Engine maintenance works completed June 2017 and remains to original specification. It has excellent oil pressure hot or cold, well balanced and runs smoothly, running on its original 2” SU carbs. Genuine original mileage recorded on the speedometer confirmed by the MOT history. Ideal for touring or shows, this desirable last-of-the-line 3000 Mk III’s is offered for sale with UK V5C Registration Document, Heritage certificate and MOT until June 2018.
