INTERIOR
The interior looks stunning with Anthracite inserts and full extended Black leather with contrasting stitching. The heated leather seats remain soft and supple with no discolouration or marks. The trim remains virtually blemish free, whilst the matching carpets maintain excellent colour and shape. Controls, including the crafted illuminated engine start button which presents proudly on the centre console, Aston Martin Audio in-car entertainment system, automatic climate control and Sat-Nav all function as intended. There is a considered nod to practicality too, with a boot stretching to 11 cubic feet.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The start up procedure of this compact 4. 3 litre V8 result in a unique crackle before settling into a menacing growl. The torque characteristics of the engine allow for a broad operating bracket – the engine revs freely but is equally adept at cruising speeds.
Under the bonnet is a small plaque proudly bearing the inscription ‘Handbuilt in England – Final inspection by ‘Mick Freeman’ – a wonderfully personable addition in an era of digital supremacy. The drivetrain operates as it should, with no shift difficulty on cold start, and works intuitively as the car warms; transmission is a six-speed manual gearbox specially made in Italy by Graziano.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Rather than the standard 18-inch wheels this example comes with the optional 19-inch seven-spoke models, all of which present in excellent condition. The car wears a matching set of Bridgestone Potenza’s which all show plenty of tread. Grey calipers compliment the bright finish of the wheels and sit proudly wearing the manufacturer’s name.
HISTORY FILE
Supplied new to the previous owner on the 1st March 2006 by Aston Martin Edinburgh, this V8 has been meticulously maintained by main dealer and specialists with a total of 10 service stamps present in the owners handbook.
The history file comes with a vast and continuous array of MOT certificates and invoices dating back to the first new vehicle invoice, giving a useful insight into this cars fastidious long term ownership.
Two spare keys and the original owners wallet accompany the history file.
