Lot 68

A 2003 Battistinis Mamba 2077cc V-Twin, registration number V22 BAT, silver and black. This Battistinis was originally built for the International England and Arsenal star Ian Wright. As a bespoke item it has a unique specification. The motorcycle was built around a War Eagle frame, oil tank and swinging arm. The wheels are by Arlen Ness, and at the front end it sits on a set of Arlen Ness/ Spike upside down forks. The engine fitted is an S & S High Performance 124 cubic inch motor with an S & S Super E carburettor, which are universally felt to be the best after market high performance motor combination available. The mudguards and tank were modified at the Battistinis workshop and painted by Terry Spencer. The exhausts are by Paul Yaffe Design. The transmission is a five speed unit with polished cases. The primary is Harley Davidson with off-set spacing to allow for a wider section rear tyre with slightly vented cases to allow for a primary belt drive instead of a chain. It has a matching Arlen Ness disc/ pulley brake set up at the rear. It has progressive suspension Air Ride Shots with up and down buttons in the swinging arm and pressure gauge. The four controls are by OMP as is the front brake master cylinder. The motorcycle was built by Ian Borrowman with Ian Wright taking delivery of the motorcycle in 2003. He would retain the bike before selling it to a friend in approximately 2004/ 2005. Battistinis have a reputation for building very high end quality bikes and have a following in both England and Europe and with this bike's celebrity first ownership, should offer a collector something a little different.
