Lot 56
A 1949 BSA B31 350cc, registration number 469 XUF, black. For 1945 BSA introduced their new B31, it was initially available with a rigid frame but over time a swing arm plunger frame came online to cradle the 350cc four stroke single. This example, we have the pleasure of offering for auction, is one of the later plunger frame type. The BSA has been recommissioned/ restored retaining as much originality as possible and has a very original oily rag appearance. During the recommissioning the engine was rebuilt with new bearings, rings, gaskets, decoked and valve regrind. A new rewiring loom, battery, seat, chain, brake shoes and cables were fitted. Now running very well, the BSA is ready to be enjoyed. V5C, MOT and tax exempt See illustration
