Beschreibung
This very rare Genuine Station Wagon was registered XUX 354 on 16th October 1961 in Shropshire or Salop as it was then known.
Chassis number 24100368a is a very early Series 2a .
The Station Wagons were produced in very small numbers as there was purchase tax on top of the price which made them very expensive.
New MOT until August 2018
Only 3 owners from new!
The 1st owner kept XUX from 1961 until 2008 over 46 years!
Only 2 owners since then and minimal mileage (showing 26800 at the moment so probably 126800)
Many people claim to have a Station Wagon but almost all are converted from a hardtop.
XUX has all its correct seats and the Safari top with its original rear door.
It has never been restored just maintained throughout its life.
Lovely and original inside with no additions or changes.
Original 1961 dated wheels.
An expedition roof rack is fitted.
Free wheeling hubs are fitted.
An overdrive is installed and is very quiet in use.
Drives well and starts on the button.
Original 2. 25 petrol engine.
Gearbox is good with no jumping out.
Paintwork older but I rather like the shabby look!
Chassis solid with older well done repairs.
Bulkhead very solid with some older repairs to the footwells.
Has done very few miles in the last few years so ready for a new life!
Great for logging/ dogs kids especially with the rear seats!
