The third-generation Lancia Delta may have suffered the indignity of being officially badged as a Chrysler here in the UK, but this one proudly wears the famous shield and flag logos as originally intended. Built upon a revised version of Fiat's C Platform (sharing a very similar ancestry to the Fiat Bravo and the Alfa Giulietta), it is without a doubt every inch an Italian car.
This is a Delta S, a special edition borne of a collaboration with MOMO Design's Milanese studio and, as such, it simply oozes style. Their flourishes include the body coloured exterior detailing, dark-chrome surrounds to the foglights, unique shadow-chrome finish to the 18" alloys, chromed exhuast pipes, privacy glass, gloss black centre console, speedometer with yellow accents and a sumptuous half-leather interior highlighted with blue stitching.
The 1. 6 Multijet engine returns an incredible 60MPG average consumption, it falls into insurance group 14 and it can be taxed for just £115 a year (or £10. 06 a month) so it definitely ticks the affordability box too. In fact, with all the clever features (sliding rear seats, parking sensors, huge boot, SatNav, cruise control, hill-hold and we could go on) it's actually an ideal family-sized estate crossover.
It has covered 99k miles but comes complete with a full main-dealership service history and is in overall very good condition. Originally owned by Fiat themselves, it has had just one private owner since February 2016 and is fully HPI clear. The MoT currently runs through to January but this will be renewed upon sale and also included is a comprehensive 3-month warranty and 3-months' AA cover.
With just 27 Delta S examples in the UK, this is probably the only way any of us are ever going to be able to afford a very rare, special-edition Lancia Delta without having to remortgage our house, hey?!
