EXTERIOR
The facelifted X150 seen here is home to subtle enhancements to bumpers and sills that display a considered execution of style and performance. This R-S is certainly a step up in aggression, with the use of carbon freely employed all around the car; Front splitter, rear diffuser and rear wing are all treated to the lightweight compound. The XK has always proved to be a popular shape with balanced proportions and elegant lines, particularly with this stunning Ultimate Black example exhibiting minimal wear and rich colour.
After a thorough detailing session the car looks splendid under both natural and studio light, with subtle aerodynamic additions offering further dynamic prowess.
INTERIOR
The curvature of both the dash, the door cards and the double stitched leather makes for an ergonomic delight with excellent feel, fit and finish. The layered mat and carpet set present impeccably with embossed and carbon effect leather seats unmarked; offering infinite electrical adjustment and excellent support. Navigation, DAB and Bluetooth complete the generous specification.
The optional piano black veneer handsomely offsets the chrome gear selector surround and is pleasingly free of any hazing or discolouration.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The R-S cab will always maintain a harmony of benign cruiser / tactile GT and with over 500hp available the contrast is pronounced. The ZF gearbox is perfectly matched to the supercharged characteristics of the engine, without unnecessary downshifting in automatic mode and offering sharp shifts through the wheel mounted paddles.
The engine is tight and smooth, to be expected with such low mileage, and has enjoyed the benefit of fastidious main dealer & specialist upkeep.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The optional 20 inch wheels complete a menacing colour combination and look stunning in gloss black. Sitting on Pirelli P Zero rubber with excellent tread, the car performs beautifully on test with excellent road holding, refinement and stopping power.
