When this 1990 Land Rover 90 County Station Wagon 200TDi 7 seater came in to us, it was as an ‘unfinished project’ – the previous owner had fitted a new rear crossmember, rear door, rebuilt the front doors, resprayed it in metallic blue (with white roof) and had retrimmed the interior with Exmoor Trim ‘Techno’ front seats and twin matching benches, before running out of steam.
The first thing we did was to remove the very tired 200TDi lump and rebuild it, with new main and big end bearings, new pistons, head and all other gaskets, cambelt etc, and it’s done less than 100 miles since. It’s also had a fully-reconditioned injection pump fitted.
Whilst the engine was out we took the opportunity to replace the clutch, and also set about the lower bulkhead which had been poorly repaired. In went new footwells and side rails, on top of new front outriggers.
It was then treated to a full front and rear brake rebuild, with new master cylinder and servo, as well as a front suspension rebuild.
the VIN number, frame number stamped on the chassis, & engine number are all matching the paperwork.
Odometer reading 149000 miles, however, as above, the engine has just undergone a complete rebuild
It is a genuine County Station Wagon rather than a conversion from a van, and hence is LEZ compliant
It comes with MOT to July 2018.
