motodrome are pleased to offer this 1998/ S reg Land Rover Defender 50th Anniversary 4. 0 V8, as usual finished in Atlantis Metallic. This one is one of the 385 produced for the UK market.
50ths are fitted as standard with automatic transmission, anti-roll bars, air conditioning (working and cold on this one) , six seats, factory Safari rollcage, cubbybox, lowered rear bulkhead, NAS rear step, full-length chrome sidesteps, pewter alloys (shod with a matching set of the correct BFG all-terrains) all of which this retains – it remains unusually original specification wise (except for the fitment of a single-box sports exhaust and a modern Alpine stereo (as fitted to the last Defenders) ) compared to some these days.
It’s further fitted with a Warn 9000 winch on the appropriate winch bumper, although we think a winch was fitted by the original supplying dealer as we have the proper Land Rover winching manual etc with it.
It’s rather unusual these days in that, apart from the largely original spec as outlined above, it’s never been restored, rebuilt, or repainted, hence retains almost 20 years of marks, patina etc.
History wise, we have the original 50th book pack including original service book with 11 stamps in it, and a big folder of bills. The speedo head was replaced with a new one by a main dealer at 108963m in 2008, and currently reads 18000m. The auto box and transfer box were replaced by a specialist in 2009.

As above, original UK market 50th’s that haven’t been messed with are thin on the ground these days, especially at our asking price.
And of course being petrol it’s compliant with current LEZ emission regs.
