EXTERIOR
This unique GT4 is finished in the dazzling paint to sample – Gulf Orange – which remains totally original from factory and free from stone chips. Paint protection film has been generously applied throughout to ensure the car retains it’s spectacular allure for years to come. Factory decals to bonnet, doors and rear wing offer further track orientated contrast to this spectacular package with black end plates to the wing also featuring the 3. 8 moniker.
The GT inspired body sports aggressive lines taken from its GT3 sibling with the front valance featuring large intakes for optimised cooling with further side intakes for engine air flow. Black headlight and fog lights work alongside the front black spoiler and a deep rear diffuser creating an appropriate offset against the Orange body topped by the centre exit titanium black exhaust.
INTERIOR
The GT race car theme continues inside with big carbon backed 918 bucket seats to secure both driver and passenger in-place. Alcantara generously covers the cabin space throughout with the lower dash, door cards, seat inserts, crested arm reast, steering wheel and gear surround double silver stitched with Porsche’s finest black leather to the top of the dashboard; again treated to a silver thread either side of the vents. The roll cage in the rear as part of the Clubsport package is finished in a subtle shade of black.
With the presence of mod-cons (many of which optional extras), such as Sat Nav, AC, DAB radio and phone connectivity along with switchable exhaust the car can be used day to day, long distance or comfortably to and from track.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
While the visual effects of the engine are minimal and hidden behind plastic covers, the audible effects along with it’s power are ferocious. With a sharp bark at start-up and a flat-six howl under-load, there’s no doubt this is one of Stuttgart’s finest.
Only built with a manual transmission, the GT4 is strictly for the purist of drivers. With heavy use of the PDK transmission in Porsche’s other track based weapons, the GT4 will go down in the history books as one of the last with the extra pedal.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The unmarked lightweight 20-inch anthracite GT3 inspired wheels are complimented by black centres with Gulf GT4 script and Michelin’s Pilot Sport Cup 2’s that show plenty of even tread throughout.
Large 6-pot red calipers with 4-Pot on the rear clamp to huge drilled discs providing plenty of stopping force whether on road or track.
HISTORY FILE
Supplied new by Porsche Group Ops Centre Reading in June of 2016 this GT4 has already received a doscumented intermediary engine oil service before time with Specialist Cars of Malton at 2, 400 miles.
A full book pack, spare key and tracker fob accompany the history file.
