The Range Rover Classic was produced by Rover from 1970 to 1996. The first generation of vehicles produced under the Range Rover name, it debuted as a 2-door model; a 4-door became available in 1981, with the 2-door phased out in January 1994. For most of its history it was known simply as the "Range Rover"; Land Rover coined the term "Range Rover Classic" to distinguish it from the P38A which succeeded it when the two were briefly built alongside, and applied the name retrospectively to all first-generation Range Rovers.
This particular vehicle is a 1990 Turbo D Manual Range Rover Classic, it has covered just 43, 000 miles from new and has had just 2 former keepers. Presented in excellent condition throughout with a portfolio of history which includes service records, previous MOTs and invoices to substantiate mileage and condition. The original hand book is in excellent order and the Range Rover is supplied with its original keys, spare wheel and tools. Very much a time warp car which must be seen. .
The engine is the original 'Turbo D' model which is 2, 499 cc (2. 5 L; 152. 5 cu in) The VM engines were highly advanced and refined diesel engines for their time Due to the originality of this particular model, with its factory engine and gearbox, it is ideal for US export.
The Range Rover has just undergone an MOT, and is available to drive away today. It feels as comfortable at 70 MPH now as it would have done when it left the factory!
