Finished in Tobacco Leaf with complimenting buckskin leather interior, this is a lovely car indeed. This lovely lady was registered in Ireland from new in 1974, and comes with her original brown Irish logbook. She has had 4 owners from new but her original owner kept her for 20 years from 1974 up to 1994. During his ownership, the car was located in Crosshaven Co Cork Ireland. Owned by an English gentleman who only used it when he was in Ireland on business, she was always maintained to a very high standard, which probably explains why he kept it for 20 years. Her most recent owner of 4 years, has spent considerable time and money in bringing her up to an even higher standard. She was fully repainted to include the engine bay when engine was removed. Engine and gearbox were taken out and gearbox was fully restored, with new bearings bushings and selector rods fitted. New brake pads front and rear were fitted to the Girling disc brakes. Engine was fully cleaned and painted before being refitted. She has had 5 new Vredstein tyres, as well as a battery cut off switch located in the boot.
The all original buckskin leather interior is in great condition. Some patination to the front seats which would be expected for a car of this age, but no rips tears or wear to the stitching.. She comes with a factory fitted full length Webasto sunroof which is fully functional, has no rips or tears, and the headlining is also in perfect condition. Her ET style headrests are also in perfect order, and are rare to find in situ these days. She has all her original carpets which are in perfect condition considering the age of the vehicle. All lights, switches, dials and clocks are working as they should. She has her original keys, as well as a fully functional original cassette radio. This has to be one of the finest examples we have seen of the P6, and like all Rovers it glides on air as it slips through the gears. This car has no rust, no blemishes, and everything is as it should be. It can be used as a daily driver, or that special Sunday treat. This is a rare one to find in the 2. 2 TC litre version, and particularly in this condition.
