EXTERIOR
One of the ultimate 911’s and the first generation of RS to wear the widebody shape creating an imposing silhouette with impossible wide arches and a huge motorsport rear wing. Finished in a unique orange specifically blended for the RS with contrasting black decals, wing mirrors and black spoiler ends on the carbon wing. The paintwork is first class and displays superbly across the whole of the body.
INTERIOR
The interior of the RS is extremely focused and screams motorsport with the handbrake, gearknob and steering wheel all finished in alcantara. The fixed back torso hugging carbon seats give all the support needed, whilst the roll cage reminds you that this is as close to a Cup car that you can get for the road.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 3. 6 litre dry-sumped flat 6 responds instantly to even the slightest throttle input, in part due to the single mass flywheel which also saves 8KG. Producing 409 bhp at a scintillating 8400 RPM it simply loves to rev with a spine tingling exhaust note letting you know the pedigree of the boxer engine. Although a true performance variant, the RS is quite happy at cruising speeds and pleasingly offers some considerations for driveability and ease of use.
The excellent 6 speed manual transmission allows you to fully revel in the sharpness of the engine with slick positive shifts. This particular car feels exceptionally sorted with no slack in the drive train whatsoever. An extensive service history by main dealers and specialists ensures it is in fine mechanical fettle.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The wheels look stunning finished in gloss black with orange RS detailing on the centre caps, which contrasts perfectly with the colourway of this wild Gen 1.
Behind the black spokes the calipers have been finished off in yellow to distinguish the PCCB optional addition. N rated Pirelli Michelin Pilot Sport tyres show plenty of tread and offer considerations for both road and track. With recent fast road geometry setup the car drives superbly.
HISTORY FILE
There is an extensive history file with the original leather wallet and service book present and correct. Servicing consists of both Porsche main dealer alongside specialist history showing regular maintenance. The last just completed at the main dealer and consisting of a full engine out major service, clutch replacement and open cheque book exercise to the sum of over 6k.
In addition there are correspondence with Porsche customer assistance showing early visits to the dealership for warranty work and pre-sale checks.
Both keys and tracker fobs are included whilst a Porsche certificate of authenticity is also present.
