It starts instantly, even on a frosty morning, pulls well, stops well and drives very well, no gearbox of rear diff whine, no steering wander, no rattles or vibrations, stops in a straight line.
Enthusiast owned since 2012 and refurbished during this time, now sold to make way for a Lightweight project. Its been completely protected underneath, all painstakingly cleaned and treated with under seal, the whole chassis is rock solid, as are the bulkhead, door tops and bottoms, bring your hammer and tap about to your hearts content.
No signs of any leaks or drips, good handbrake, good tyres and spare, no rips, splits or repairs in the hood. We've driven it over 50 miles and its spot on, would happily set off for London with no fear, the former keeper drove it from Hampshire to Cumbria.
This is a 1984 ex military example with heavy duty chassis and many original military fitments, rag top, under seat diesel tanks, rear bumper over riders, front bumper shackle points, bonnet mounted spare, convoy lights, NATO tow hitch and some comfort upgrades of full back rest seats and a stereo, generally a very original looking classic Landy.
The speedo drive is intermittent, was originally a petrol engine and changed by last owner to a very good running diesel, but apart from that we cant find anything else to comment on, everything does what it should. MOT till 1st Feb 2019, 21700 miles (assumed incorrect), comes with a large file full of old MOT's tax disc and invoices.
Good example, well presented, all hard work done and currently a better investment than gold. Enjoy your savings as you watch Land Rovers continue to rise in value.
