1990 Rover Mini Cooper Mainstream in British Racing Green and white. This Mini Cooper was bought new by a lady in 1990 and kept for 21 years until 2011 when it was inherited by her son. It has always been garaged and very well cared for. I have a detailed service history file plus all of the past MOT's, the original complete book pack and both sets of keys. It has covered just 12100 miles in the last 27 years and is in remarkable condition. The sills, wheel arch areas and floors are still covered in the yellow wax as from the factory and are in lovely condition. The interior is outstanding and looks 12 months old. The key to this car is that it has always been garaged so is dry in the winter and cool in the summer which keeps it looking so young. The one area that really stands out on the Mainstream Cooper is under the bonnet. The 1275cc A-plus engine was developed from the unit fitted to the MG Metro. Controlled by a single HIF44 SU carburettor with a 10. 1:1 compression ratio and a camshaft shared only with the RSP model, it produces 61 BHP and a top speed of 92 mph. This would make a very enjoyable mini while also being an exciting long term investment. These are the last of the carburettor Coopers and this example on 12100 miles would be hard to replace.
