EXTERIOR
This particular example is finished in it’s nearly all of its factory coat of dazzling Estoril Blue paintwork which makes for a top combination with the cars striking lines and dynamic presence. The paintwork remains in fine order with no corrosion to be found whatsoever.
All of the black window surrounds and chrome details are in fantastic condition and retain a clean, deep texture.
INTERIOR
The two-tone leather sports seats are in excellent condition and remain free from any sagging or damage, still feeling firm and supportive. The smart black and blue two-tone combination offers layers of depth that partners the paintwork and is carried through to the door cards and centre console, all of which is in fine order with no scuffs or marks, in fact it looks and smells new. The chrome additions to dials, gear gaiter, dash rings and light pull switch provide a stylish lift to a beautifully finished cabin with all switchgear feeling solid to operate and showing minimal wear.
The carpets are perfectly clean throughout, protected in the foot-wells with a set of black over-mats showing no signs of wear. All of the tools and spare wheel are still present, situated under the boot carpet which remains spotlessly clean.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Start up and test are faultless, with the venerable inline 6 providing plenty of torque to ensure that the car is as happy at cruise as climbing the revs – a perfect compliment to the long ratio 5 speed ‘box and the handling characteristics of this potent sports GT.
The ZF Type C 5-speed manual gearbox feels tight and precise shifting through the gears, handling the power perfectly.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
This M Coupe sits on the correctly finished 17″ Starfish wheels with the deep rear dish on the rear providing that typically broad, aggressive stance. Recently installed Continentals all round provide the definitive contact patch to all 4 corners. There are some light marks on the alloys however they sit in their original factory paint with the refurbishment decision left to the new owner.
The brakes feel strong and confident bringing the car to a standstill quickly and smoothly.
HISTORY FILE
This sublime Z3M was first registered in July 2000 by the BMW Main Dealer in Hannover. It has only ever been serviced by the BMW main dealer.
In sole German ownership from new until 2005 and 54k kilometers the car was then bought by an Irish man who never registered or exported the car, he kept it stored away and treasured for the following 13 years.
The car remains on German papers showing only 1 documented owner, The car can be registered in the UK should the new owner wish to keep it here,
The original manuals are present along with the service book, both keys, German Fahrzeugbrief and BMW Certificate of Conformity.
