A splendid little family saloon, built in 1932 and having the more desirable overhead camshaft engine, rather than the later side-valve (we think the engine is the original). The Family Eight was launched to compete with the other popular small cars on the market, but offering the advantage of having a much more spacious body. This particular car has recently been used for a wedding - there is plenty of room in the back. The later 4-speed gearbox has been fitted, with synchromesh on 3rd and top gear - much better than the original 3-speed crash gearbox, so the car is quite sprightly and cruises along nicely. The brakes are hydraulic. The condition of the car is excellent, with very good, shiny coachwork, nicely complemented by a recently completely re-trimmed green interior, to original specification (professionally carried out). There are many original internal fittings such as rear window blind, roof light, opening front window, chrome door fittings - all in good order. Externally, the car boasts sliding sunroof, nice running boards with original Morris logo, nice chrome radiator, badge bar and bumper bars and working semaphores. Underneath, the car is well maintained, and is in good order. The engine starts easily and has good oil pressure, and the charging system works. All the mechanics appear to be in good order. Comes with V5C and continuation back dating back to 1974. We think this is the original registration number. A good opportunity to purchase a small but spacious car that won't break the bank.
