The first 911 version to go into series production in September 1964 was the so-called master model with a 130 hp 2-litre six-cylinder boxer engine presented at the 1963 IAA. Unlike the Porsche 356, which is still based on the VW Beetle inbody and chassis, the 911 had a self-supporting body and wheel suspension with triangular wishbones and shock absorber legs at the front and diagonal links at the rear. Another new feature was the rack-and-pinion steering with two angled safety steering columns. In 1971 and 1972, almost 10, 000 Porsche 911 T, E and S of the 2. 4-litre E model were produced as so-called „oil flap models“. In these vehicles, the filler neck for the oil was located on the right-hand B-pillar instead of in the engine compartment as a flap. With the model year 1973 the oil filler flap disappeared again - allegedly also because both the owner and the filling station fill the alleged fuel tank with ignorance, which is said to have resulted in massive engine damage. In 2015 this 911 was imported to Germany and received already a German TÜV full acceptance as well as H-acceptance. German vehicle documents are available - TÜV valid until 09. 2019.
