I am selling my NS 400 R, which I have spent the last 3 years, returning to a more than acceptable condition.
This is not a full on “nuts and bolts” restoration, as I did not want to be too precious with it and I wanted to ride it properly.
It has benefited from.
A complete respray (Dream Machine) back to the original colours – apart from the mirrors, I did not think red suited them. Still has the original screen.
Recovered seat – I have the seat cowl, painted to match
JL Moto expansion chambers and silencers – I have the originals with Swarbrick silencers.
New braided brake hoses – front and rear. Calipers cleaned, resealed and new pads.
Front suspension rebuilt – rear is still firm with very little sag.
New chain and sprockets.
New tyres – BT46.
I have really enjoyed putting the bike back together and riding it. It stops well, handles well – tight, no wallowing - and goes like stink when it hits the power band.
I am perhaps just a bit big for it at 6’2.
I will sell with all of the spare parts that I have.
