Highlights

  • Original Signal Green (7878) colour

The Appeal

The most significant early revision to the Porsche 911 formula came with the introduction of the C Series cars in 1969, for which the car's wheelbase was increased by 57mm in order to cure snappy handling. This small yet vital change transformed the 911's character, unlocking further performance that paved the way for some of the greatest cars Porsche has ever built.

The 911T represented the accessible entry point to the 911 range, offering the pure driving experience that made these early cars so revered. The 2.2-litre flat-six, introduced for the 1970 model year, brought increased displacement and refinement to the T model while maintaining its engaging character.

This example stands out for its documented Porsche factory delivery and comprehensive restoration to original specification. Finished in its factory-correct Signal Green (7878), this 911T has been meticulously restored in Germany between 2020 and 2022. The work included a complete mechanical overhaul, professional bodywork restoration, and interior refurbishment with the front seats reupholstered in genuine leather.

With its Porsche delivery certificate confirming special factory options and its current German classic car registration, this represents an opportunity to acquire a thoughtfully restored early 911 in a striking period colour.

This car embodies just about everything that makes old 911s great. The colour, Fuchs alloys... We could go on all day. There's very little to report in terms of its condition. As the photographs and minimal mileage since restoration suggest, it's in lovely condition for a car of this age.

  • 2,179cc engine capacity
  • Five-speed 'dog-leg' manual transmission
  • 92 kW/125 PS power output

  • The vendor informs us that the car is ready to drive
For those in search of a pure 911 driving experience, you can't do much better than a car from this era. Benefitting from the aforementioned wheelbase alteration and the 2.2-litre engines introduced in 1970, our car is one of the most coveted of the classic 911s. Better still, it was specified new with Koni shock absorbers and front and rear anti-roll bars; its original owner was clearly quite the keen driver! Following extensive restoration that also extended to the mechanicals, we're informed that this fine Porsche is ready to go.
