This 1936 example, affectionately named 'Clarice', has been cherished by its current owners since 2007 and maintained to a high standard throughout their ownership. Having been renovated before their acquisition, this Austin has proven its reliability by completing several notable journeys including trips to France and multiple Austin Epsom Downs to Brighton runs.
With its period charm, documented history, and careful maintenance, this Sherborne represents an accessible entry into pre-war classic motoring. The car is regularly taken out on Sunday mornings for the IOW Austin’s car club meet ups.

"We bought ‘Clarice’ in 2007 from an IOW Austin member. First registered on 29th June 1936. With a 1141cc engine, 9.9 horsepower. He bought her from ‘Available Austins’ a couple of years previously, he later wished he had kept her. She came to him in a very good renovated condition. I spoke to someone recently who remembered the car and driving it on a run to Bournemouth on the ‘Daffodil Run’ in 1977. We have recently had new springs made for her by Jones in Wolverhampton which were fitted professionally by a local garage sympathetic to old cars. She has always been garaged in our ownership.
"We love driving our old car, she starts well and goes well once warmed up, she has a nice tick over. She has taken us to France on two occasions and done the Austin Epsom Downs to Brighton run three times. We are very fond of her. But she needs a new caring owner."
