The Appeal
The four-wheeled "Widowmaker" was the Porsche 930 Turbo. The two-wheeled "Widowmaker was the Kawasaki KH500 H1D Mach III. This legendary Japanese two-stroke superbike was revered for its immense acceleration. It came out during a period when Japanese motorcycles were the best in the world, and the H1 remains greatly sought after to this day.
This 1973 example represents a rare opportunity to acquire what is essentially a time capsule - a meticulously rebuilt Mach III that has covered just 3 miles since its comprehensive restoration, having been preserved indoors as an investment piece rather than used as a rider.
The vendor says:
"I bought the bike in 2020 as an investment. It has been sitting in my Lounge, but circumstances have meant I couldn't ride it either, so I decided it has to go to a home where it can be fully appreciated and shown off."
