The Appeal

The GS1100G was Suzuki's shaft-driven sport-tourer, built around a torquey DOHC inline-four and engineered for effortless long-distance riding. With its relaxed ergonomics, maintenance-free shaft drive, and generous fuel range, it earned a devoted following among riders who valued comfort and reliability without sacrificing performance, a genuine "sleeper" among early-1980s Japanese superbikes.
This example was originally supplied in California before being imported to the UK in 2001. It was subsequently cherished by its late owner, Don, who toured extensively on the machine, including memorable trips through Scotland and the Inner Hebridean islands of Jura and Islay. Now eligible for MOT exemption and finished in black with red pinstripes, this GS1100G presents an opportunity to acquire a well-cared-for example of Suzuki's muscle tourer with a rich personal history.
