"John Cooper was Alec Issigonis friend and right from the beginning, saw the racing potential of the small Minis. Both would end up creating in 1961, the Mini Cooper, in the versions, Austin and Morris. The racing successes were immense and were decisive in the long career of the Cooper's, which extends to the present days"
