- Original Healey Blue
- 60k miles from new
- desirable BJ7 model
This mid 1963 3000 MKII BJ7 represents an excellent opportunity to buy a good condition, low mileage and very desirable wind-up window car with just 60, 000 miles from new.
This is a matching numbers status example including original engine and body. Very pleasingly the car is finished in it’s original colour of Healey Blue with Blue interior trim and hood – the most popular Healey colour combination by far. As a MKIIA or BJ7 car this model was the first to receive the desirable wind-up windows (over sidescreens) and easy-up ‘pram style hood’ whilst retaining the early car dashboard.
Inside, we have just fitted new carpets and the seats and trim are also of a good standard. The roof is of correct Navy Blue Everflex material, fits well and the rear screen is not yellowed or cracked with a hood bag also included in good condition. The original and beautiful gold coloured instrumentation is present and operational.
From the outside the paint is of nice finish, the chrome bumpers, grilles and other bright work items all present and again very good.
The car drives well, shifting between gears smoothly with the overdrive engaging promptly, keeps good temperature and oil pressure. The car rides well, feels composed and tight owing to a good chassis and substructure.
Supplied service, with new tyres, new carpet, new MOT, heritage certificate of authenticity and many bills including £10, 000 engine and gearbox rebuild from a Healey specialist and restoration/ paintwork. Just fitted with new factory 'aluminium finish' painted wires and Michellin tyres. Priced £57, 250 as is or £58, 000 with Ivory duo-tone.
