This 1991 75 is one of the last of what Alfisti consider to be the ‘true’ Alfas, namely cars fully designed and built independently by the firm before the Fiat takeover. And what a great way to bow out - delicately balanced transaxle layout and that crackling V6 ‘violin of Arese’ engine.
As a later car, this one benefits from the larger 3L V6, which pumped power up to 190bhp. These are rare cars, particularly when fitted with the slick 5spd gearbox as seen here. It is factory standard save for an upgraded exhaust, Momo wheel and a set of smart Lenco alloys. The original steering wheel and rims are included with the sale.
The current keeper is only the car’s fourth. He bought it in 2022 and tells us that he has used and serviced it regularly, and garaged it between uses. The car is at the tidy and usable end of the condition scale, with nothing structural reported on the current lengthy MOT. There are some cosmetic jobs that the buyer might want to consider, but they seem to fall into the area of improvement rather than essential.
Few saloons of this era have the charisma, rarity and sheer brilliance of the 3L V6 75. One for the drivers.
The vendor says:
“The car is immense fun to drive. It has ample performance due to the 3 litre engine coupled with the light weight body. Cornering is a joy because of the balanced weight distribution of engine and rear mounted gearbox. It gets lots of positive attention due to its boxy 80s design and the nostalgia it generates brings a smile to all. Drove it to the F1 Monza GP in 2024 via France & Switzerland and it didn’t miss a beat. A truly memorable experience for many that were involved.”image.png5.52 MB
