A late example of the fast appreciating Jaguar XJ40 in the very desirable 3. 2 S specification.
Supplied new in January 1994 by Stratstone of Mayfair in the most desirable colour combination available which was also the colour used throughout the brochure as it really does make the car look it’s best.
The Sport spec is great and desirable and is aimed at the more spirited driver.
The S specification included
Factory updated suspension including stiffer anti-roll bar
Colour coded red radiator grille vanes and mirror caps
Factory fitted fog lights
7X16in 5 Spoke Alloys
Upper and lower Gold pinstripes
Rear colour coded infill panel

The Jaguar has the super smooth 3. 2 straight six cylinder twin overhead cam engine providing just under 200bhp
This particular example has a long MOT to the 11/ 12/ 2023 and has done very few miles since
The car is in lovely condition for what is now 28 years old.
The car is very original in specification and has not had any modifications or incorrect parts fitted since new even down to the correct stereo system it is lovely and period correct just how they are supposed to be the car still retains correct upper and lower pinstripes it really is a lovely thing for the money.
The car runs and drives nicely with no warning lights and all tyres are of good tread
Negative points are as follows:
Car was Cat C registered in 2009 so 14 years ago but is registered on hpi nonetheless. I have a couple of pictures of the damage at the time which looks limited to the front bumper and has obviously been on the road for many years since.
The car is ten owner in total including myself
The service history has been mislaid over time but there are bills/ receipts for parts and work it has had
The bootlid top has suffered some sun fading and is duller in that area but not bad just doesn’t polish up as beautifully as the rest of it does
These cars are getting very rare now and some examples are up at big money. This is a low mileage car with long mot that can be used right away that is super value only due to its Cat C history which is quite insignificant now and at this age you’d really take the car on face value and it is in very good condition overall with lovely panels and a nice interior
The battery could probably do with replacing as it goes flat after a couple of days due to lack of use
Check out the MOT history online and you will see it doesn’t cover much distance year to year
