A genuine low-mileage TD5 County Hardtop in head-turning Tonga green metallic with only 2 owners from new.
I bought this vehicle in 2015 from Gloucester Land Rover at 113, 000 miles. Since then it has covered only 8, 000 miles to 121, 178, with light use, being garaged at home and properly maintained at a local Land Rover specialist.
I am only selling this Defender because I use it so little. It really ought to go to an owner who can use it more often as it is great fun to drive.
Gloucester Land Rover fitted sliding rear side windows and rear seats, added chequer plate and remapped to 150 bhp. As a result it pulls away promptly and suffers no dead spots on acceleration.
New front grille, chrome side-steps and varnished wood steering wheel make this a discreet and good-looking vehicle.
This Defender has been reliable for the 8 years I have owned it, always starting easily.
There is a fitted dog guard behind the front seats and the rear cabin area is lined with rubber chequer plate. There is a valid MOT which expires in March 2024. The last pass with minor, non-urgent advisories (see photo), which have been consistent across the last few MOTs. The tester stated that, bearing in mind the annual mileage, they were far from urgent.
The last service was 2020, but because the vehicle has covered only 1, 800 miles it has not been serviced since. There is a service history, plus all repair and maintenance bills for the past 8 years since my purchase, but nothing prior.
The bodywork and paint is in good condition, with minor scuffs and incidental bits of corrosion, but nothing which in any way detracts from the looks or substance of the vehicle.
The front bumper has corrosion, and could probably benefit from replacement.
The MOT advisories and replacement front bumper are reflected in the keen pricing, and would be easy and inexpensive to have fixed.
Interiors are immaculately clean and free from any significant damage.
Alloy wheels are good, but there is some scuffing. Tyres have vast life still ahead of them.
