Description
This vehicle has been in one family ownership since new. It is extremely original and well cared for. It has just emerged from long term dry storage due to bereavement.
The metallic green paintwork is largely original and apart from some crazing due to age, with very few blemishes, the car presents well, as can be seen in the pictures.
The structure is sound and there is no evidence of welding repairs, except for one small patch on the bottom of one sill.
Some mechanical recommissioning has been carried out, including cambelt replacement and engine service. Replacement front brake calipers, pads, brake hoses and rear wheel cylinders.
The four roadwheels have been refurbished and fitted with new Uniroyal tyres. The Ford now drives like new!
Inside, it has faired very well and is in fine shape, save for some wear on the driver’s seat bolster. However, the previous owner had the foresight to obtain a spare seat, although the passenger side, it has a perfect replacement panel. This seat comes with the car.
The parcel shelf is present, which is rare, although slightly dogeared, but most definitely restorable.
In the glovebox are all the owner’s manuals and the car comes with the full genuine Ford workshop manual.
A lucky and rare find in this condition, which I suspect will not hang around.
