This rare 4th generation Celica ST162 convertible (Targa top & full convertible) has had just one owner from new. The car has been registered to his widow since his passing, but she has never driven it so it is a truly one owner/ driver car. It has to be a very special opportunity to own this fast appreciating classic, with such a wonderful history. There are very few of these in the UK. He bought it new from his local Toyota Main dealer in 1987, and has had it serviced every year by them since (the last service was in September 2022 at 41867 miles. The MOT is September 2022 and only advises 2 tyres) All service documents/ bills over 36 years are available, together with two fully stamped service books, and all handbooks & 2 keys present. It drives beautifully, as it should. The twin cam engine is responsive and brisk even by todays standards. The bodywork is in original condition, and to our knowledge has never had an accident or paintwork. the car is virtually rust free on the bodywork and chassis although there is some very slight bubbling on the inner top edge of both front wheel arches (hardly noticeable from outside). The interior is also in very tidy and original condition, albeit there is a little wear on the back of the drivers seat (see pic). This car has been garaged its entire life, and only used for high days and holidays. It has been maintained meticulously and regardless of cost. It has had a new battery recently, and the alloy wheels have been refurbished. There is one broken wheel cap.
