Description
Jowett Javelin Project
A sound car with all structural welding completed to a good standard, The engine starts & runs with good oil pressure, the gearbox selects all gears but the clutch biting point is high on the pedal and requires adjustment. All the brakes have been rebuilt with new cylinders / shoes / pipes / hoses as required. The car has a stainless steel exhaust fitted with the car now starting / stopping as it should.
The body has been the subject of recent works with new door bottoms & repairs to the lower skins along with works to the wings where required. The external bodywork is therefore now very sound with all obvious perforated rust areas addressed. The paintwork is cosmetically challenged especially to the roof area however it provides the opportunity to either leave the car with the current lived in patina or to refresh the paintwork
The interior is equally cosmetically challenged but the car comes with a good set of replacement brown seats along with a replacement veneer dashboard that is significantly better than the one currently fitted. The headlining & door seals require replacing - the carpets are non original but serviceable.
The car provides the solid basis to be easily improved / further commissioned / restored by its next owner, comes with factory parts & service manuals and offered at a entry level price for a running Javelin - Supported by The Jowett Car Club through which all parts are available - Trailer delivery available
