THE APPEAL
Nothing says “Americana” quite like the sweeping curves and rumbling V8 of a Corvette.
The C3 was a high point, accentuating the wild shapes of the bodywork and adding some bold '70s colour schemes.
Here we have an attractive C3 Coupé, presented with its original interior and paintwork and showing just over 29, 000 miles.
In very good mechanical and exterior condition, with a little work to the cabin, this could soon be a showstopper. It turns heads and people stop and chat where ever you go.

THE INTERIOR
Original Dark Brown cabin trim (692)
Seats are in good condition, with some wear from use.
Electrically operated windows.
New window motors and gearing have been installed.
Period radio/ cassette.
Air conditioning, cruise control, and interior clock don’t function.
The headlining panel and some other trim elements need to be reaffixed or retrimmed.
Dark brown carpets with black Corvette branded overmats.
Built-in storage bins behind the seats.
Overall the cabin is in reasonable condition, but in need of some tidying and completion.
THE EXTERIOR
Original Metallic Orange (66L) paintwork
Overall the paintwork presents very well, with a few minor chips and scratches, but no signs of damage.
The passenger door was professionally resprayed after the paint started to flake and make sure it is up to the standard of the rest of the car.
GRP body shell looks to be in great condition, with a few minor blemishes.
Targa roof panel, including roof straps for carrying it on the rear deck mounted rack.
Some spots of surface corrosion on the rack.
Nicely patinated brightwork and badges.
Original steel wheels with polished centre caps and lips.
Cooper Cobra tyres with good tread levels.
Pop-up lights working as they should.
Underside presents very well - clean and straight with no evidence of damage or notable corrosion.
THE MECHANICS

Overall the engine bay is clean and tidy.
No signs of leaks or overheating
Polished heads and air cleaner
The brakes have been refurbished and new hoses installed, the car accelerates, brakes and handles very well
Recent service with fluids changed and checked ready for the summer.
The engine starts and ticks over on the button. It sounds great with a fabulous deep burble.
SUMMARY
It takes a hard heart not to fall for the charms of a '70s Corvette.
That fantastical styling combines with the barrel-chested V8 to produce quite an intoxicating experience.
The kind of vehicle that makes people stop and stare, or take photos, it’s not for shrinking violets.
Presented in great overall condition, with a little work to the interior, this would be a very fine machine indeed.
I would be more than happy to drive this car to the new buyer as I love driving it, just cover my costs. The only reason for sale is that several other classics this one has to go.
The mechanics of this car are great, engine and underneath as you can see are in excellent condition. With a little time the interior could be brought to the same standard.
