Regrettably selling our Ford Galaxie 1963. We have owned for just over 2 years, and it has been an absolute joy. Under the bonnet is a 4. 7L Ford Windsor V8, makes a fantastic noise from the stainless exhaust. (If you’re going to ask about MPG figures, this probably isn’t the car for you!)
Has American Racing alloys all the way round with 2 recently new front tyres. Lowered on lowering blocks, not too low that it becomes impractical, but just enough that it improves the look. The car undertook a full respray back in 2018.
Interior is all there, although some of the seat fabric is showing it’s age, to be expected of a 60 year old car! We have Mexi Blankets currently over the seats to help keep the seats tidy - matching the interior colour so it’s never bothered us. It has also had a new headlining just before our ownership. The dashboard is slightly weathered from heat, but we’ve always viewed this as adding character of its life back in Sunny California!
It was imported from Sacramento, California to the UK in 2018.
Paperwork from the states shows it had a Gearbox rebuild in 2017.
We’ve recently given it a mini service, spark plugs, oil and filter change.
The AC and Heater will need recommissioning. Wasn’t much of an issue for us as it wasn’t used too much through winter and mainly taken out on sunnier days.
In our ownership we have taken pride in taking it to car shows and even done a couple of weddings for people we know (perfect car for it, being White!)
It will be very sad for us to see this car go, but we hope it continues to be somebody’s pride and joy.
