Actually it should only be an engine overhaul...
... which the owner commissioned from the Alfa Classic Center in Dortmund. In the end, this turned into a complete restoration, which was meticulously carried out and extensively documented and delivered to the client in 2007. Since then, this gem has only been moved in good weather and has always been treated with care, which you can see when you stand in front of the vehicle.
A thick folder with invoices and correspondence as well as an even thicker folder with photos and digital data carriers show the meticulousness with which this beautiful convertible was restored to new condition in well over 1, 000 hours of work. Even the lights in the interior and under the hood work!
This Alfa Romeo 2600 was delivered in Switzerland on September 21, 1962, according to the Swiss vehicle registration document in yellow. At some point during its life its color changed to red. This color was also used again in the restoration. The paintwork is still almost flawless 16 years after the work. All chrome and add-on parts are in very good condition. The leather is in good condition and the black fabric roof is in very good condition.
The vehicle is equipped with 3 Weber double carburettors and a modified intake manifold as well as a stainless steel exhaust system.
The vehicle has German papers and is located on Lake Constance. Mediation from private. Viewing: by appointment.
