EXTERIOR
The start of the ’70s marked a significant shift for marques around the world as road car silhouettes became lower, wider and more purposeful in line with Group 2 regs for both racing and rallying. Alfa’s GTA arrived in 1966 but by the end of the decade the ‘Modificata’ arrived and it certainly looked the part up against Ford’s Escort Mexico and BMW’s 2002 Tii.

Originally starting life as a GT 1300 Junior, this Evocation was cherished for the best part of 20 years by the same Norwegian owner. Subsequently selected for a 2, 000+ hour restoration by marque specialists Fred Arve Monsen and Cylmo Trondheim, the car was built with both road and track in mind predominantly using Alfaholics parts.

The bodywork now comprises a fibreglass bonnet, tailgate, doors and wing extensions – all finished in a pristine coat of AR501 Red – whilst other additions include a heated laminated GT windscreen, a Perspex GTA rear screen and a sliding window kit.

INTERIOR
Climbing into the cosy cabin space has a real sense of occasion with the elegant dash top giving way to pure performance focus featuring extra dials and Giulia script. Everything within reach serves a purpose with switches and toggles marked up accordingly in true competition fashion. A three-spoke Momo steering wheel sits alongside beautifully engineered aircraft-style panels providing direct control over ignition and fuel pump procedure as well as starter and lighting.

Despite the essentials – only nature of the interior, the deep-bolstered and beautifully finished Rennsport Safari Rally seats are both incredibly comfortable and supportive allied with 4-point harnesses.

Alfaholics floor mats offer some semblance of refinement – even if only to help with grip getting in and out!

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Power comes from a fully built 2. 0-litre Twin Cam ‘Nord’ engine based on a 1982 GTV block; extensively upgraded with Alfaholics internals and race-grade components. The engine features twin 45mm Weber carburettors, high-lift camshafts, forged pistons and rods alongside a stainless steel side-exit exhaust producing an extremely lively and incredibly free-revving 200hp. Paired with an Alfaholics TZ close-ratio gearbox and an Alfaholics Helix clutch the harmony between engine and drivetrain is something very special.

With FiA compliance in mind an Alfaholics race propshaft, limited-slip differential and reinforced rose-jointed suspension ensures the car is suitably track ready – meticulously prepared, dyno-tuned and fully aligned.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Filling those glorious riveted arches with their concave dish – it had to be a set of dished NTM 13 inch wheels wrapped in a matching set of Kuhmo Ecsta V700 tyres.

Braking is handled by Alfaholics with ATE aluminium calipers and a larger 250mm front disc setup with Ferodo pads for additional stopping power – all supported by stainless-lined PTFE brake lines.

HISTORY FILE
This GT 1300 Junior was first delivered to Oslo, Norway in July of 1971 and although there is little in the way of early history the car has been totally rebuilt from the ground up.

At the turn of the millennium the car would find a real ‘Alfisti’ who would cherish the car for nearly two decades before finding it’s way in 2022 to marque specialists Fred Arve Monsen and Cylmo Trondheim.

The comprehensive rebuild into this stunning GTAm recreation was designed to deliver front-running pace and total mechanical integrity. With no expense spared, and an extensive catalogue of Alfaholics performance components, this car has won both of it’s post restoration events and is highly eligible for a raft of high profile race / rally series

It has also been personally inspected by Klaus Busse, the Vice President of Design at Maserati and Fiat, validating the authenticity and quality of the build.

With recent works and fine tuning from Classic Car Solutions the car is on the button and ready to go. Supporting documentation for the car includes a dyno sheet, certificate of authenticity and motorsport paperwork alongside a USB featuring photographs of the restoration.

Please visit our website for a full write up and additional photographs.

The car is supplied having had an extensive intake inspection. Warranty, Finance, Part Exchange and Worldwide shipping are all available on request.
