The engine conversion was carried out in 2012 by Skuzzle Motorsport and the car drives superbly with none of the lag associated with turbo conversions. This and the other performance modifications suggest that the car may have been intended for track use but there is no evidence that it has ever been used for this purpose. The suspension/ steering geometry is set up for fast road use and it rides extremely well. It can be as docile or as wild as you want it to be!
The bodywork is sound with very little sign of rust on the sills or wheel arches, which are all original. There is a just-perceptible paint bubble at one point towards the rear of the nearside sill (see photo). There are no dents or deep scratches but there are a few minor age-related marks on the paintwork. I had the bonnet re-sprayed as the clear coat was starting to go milky in places, but there is no sign of this happening anywhere else.
This is one of the best - if not the best! - cars I have ever owned and I am only selling it now because I am moving abroad and it simply isn’t practical to take it with me.
