Full Jaguar service history (just been serviced)
Drives faultlessly
Excellent Chrome
perfect oil pressure
Has been stood for some time and has just been to a Jaguar specialist due to running lumpy and rich, new spark plugs, leads, rotary arm, vacuum pipe and temperature sensors as well as a service and she is back as sweet as ever.
In typical xjs fashion, the speedometer has just decided to play up which is annoying. I’m hoping that if it starts to get used it will get going again. If not it’s not a difficult job if you read the forums.
Of course this is a 33 year old car so has small things that could be done to improve. There is is some bubbling on both rear arches but it hasn’t come out of the paint and also along the bottom of drivers door. The stereo arial is also playing up, sometimes rises sometimes doesn’t. The headlining is good and not sagging and all of the interior wood and seats are in excellent condition..
the important thing is that this car is very solid and drives beautifully.
I will be extremely sad to see this go as I know how hard it will be to find one as nice again, and these 5. 3 V12 are rising rapidly, but its sitting around and it deserves better than that
