This is the 1988 model, with vastly improved build quality, and the improved fuel injection from 1987 and the improved Jaguar Sport seats. In 2023 this Beautiful Jaguar received an upgraded new Blaupunkt Classic Look CD Player / Radio / and new DAB fully electric Antenna for £363. This XJS is fitted with Onboard computer, which works perfectly, Headlight wash/ wipe system, and beautiful condition Leather Sport seats, and ABS brakes. The XJ-S also comes with nice original Jaguar Leather Wallet with original books and a large original Jaguar 25 pages Sales brochure, and original Jaguar tool kit in excellent unused condition, most previous MOT certificates since new, original Service book with 13 Stamps, most from Jaguar main dealers, Last Service in 2023, with oil change and brakes serviced, done only 1400 mls since, plus new belt which drives Alternator and Water pump this January to prevent Engine destruction ! Dry stored for a long period, hence no rust in wheel arches etc, unlike most other XJ-s advertised in great condition, and then You see rust bubbles everywhere ! The car was recomissioned in 2017. The Jaguar drives Superb , and everythng works ! Fully Hpi clear ! Negative points, hence the car is not £10, 000, but £7500, the bonnet has 2 or 3 small bubbles at the left rear top , and the wood round the gearstick has deteriorated. Right Front brake caliper slightly binding now as car been sitting parked up over the winter. Good points: Great paintwork and Chrome apart from rear bumper center part. No rust in any of the 4 wheel arches. Underneath solid. Nice interior and headlining. 4 excellent tyres. Engine / gearbox and suspension perform like new. I would drive this car happily to Spain and back once the brake caliper is freed up. Brakes still work very well, but you can sometimes feel the binding caliper, it slows down a bit more than it should when the car is just rolling, short distances like 15 mls are ok but i wouldnt drive a very long distance as the caliper can cause the brake fluid to overheat and lose the brakes, better to just drive it 10 miles and call the AA to get it towed home. At full asking price i will get the brake caliper fixed. Remember, E type Jags been £10-15k 15 years ago, now they are 60-90k in same condition.
