Here we have a really nice Ford Cortina Mk3 1. 6 Pickup 1976 RHD manual
These were genuine factory built in South Africa and were not available in the UK so pretty rare.
A UK registration has been applied for therefore will be sold with a period correct number plate and be
MOT/ TAX exempt.
Mechanics
We have tested this around our yard, 1. 6 Crossflow engine which starts and runs smooth, drives and stops as it should.
4 speed manual gearbox.
As with all imports carburetor will need air/ fuel mixture adjustment due to different climate and brakes etc checking over before driving.
Body
Engine bay is clean throughout, inner wings, wing rails etc. all in very good condition
Its extremely solid and tidy and appears to be well looked after, very solid from front to back.
Paintwork is nice, body is really straight.
The underneath has had no repairs and is in very good condition throughout
Front indicators have been modernized
The tub is in great condition including tail gate with no dents and obviously has never been worked
Interior - Is tidy, bench seat needs a good clean but ok for its age, carpet and headlining has been removed and needs replacing, drivers door window winder faulty, door window weather seals need replacing
rear window is a sliding glass but there is a spare fixed glass with the vehicle.
13" alloy wheels. tires need replacing
overall a few little jobs to do, nothing major. Really good looking and solid pickup this one.
A UK Registration has already been applied for and a deposit will secure the car until registration arrives.
