1966 Ford Fairlane 500XL
289 c. i. V8. 3-speed manual.
Imported from Texas in 2019 and owned by myself since then.
It's the usual reasons for sale: getting older, too many cars, not enough space and only driven about 1000 miles in 4 years..!
I keep the car garaged. It drives well and is in good overall condition with some marks and chips on the bodywork. Wear to the chrome. Split in driver's seat and also on top of dash.
Recent new front brake shoes, cylinders and hoses.
Car comes with some new and used spares, including new boot seal and rear light lenses.
I also have the original steel wheels and trims.
Room for improvement, of course, but the car doesn't disgrace itself at shows and always attracts positive comments.
136, 000 miles with some history from the US.
(Stickers in rear window will be removed.)The 66 -67 Fairlanes were a 2-year only body style. Now attracting increased interest in the US they are a quite a rare sight over here. Being a Ford, parts supply is good with specialists' catalogues offering a huge range of spares.
