Launched in the 50s to rival the Corvette, the first generation Ford Thunderbird, nicknamed the T-Bird, became Ford's first true sports car. Our model is a code D, 312Ci version developing 245 bhp with a Holley quad-body carburettor. Presented in remarkable condition, it was previously owned by an engineer with a passion for the marque who lived in the United States and repatriated the car on his return to France. The history in our possession takes us back to 1987.
The bodywork was restored and a general mechanical overhaul was carried out, including changing the power steering cylinder, overhauling the braking system, overhauling the Holley carburettor, changing the fuel pump (electric), changing the engine oil and filter, changing the axle oil, greasing and overhauling the wiring harness.
