Description
A wonderful, fully restored example of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Super 1. 3
Under the bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 1. 3-litre twin-cam inline-four, which has been fully restored, delivering around 88bhp to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
My Giulia was originally an Italian-delivered model, which was imported to France around 3 years ago and which I have owed for the past year. I am now, somewhat reluctantly, selling as a new 'four wheeled project' has caught my eye and divorce will almost certainly be pending if I do not sell the Alfa first!
The odometer indicates 39, 702 Kms, whilst this is not guaranteed I expect it could be genuine given the amazing condition of the car in general.
The Giulia is finished in the sophisticated shade of Grigio Indaco over a black vinyl-trimmed interior, featuring handsome wood veneer dashboard inlays, and chrome trim accents. Both the exterior and the interior where completely restored to a very high standard and the car remains in surperb condition having only covered a handful of KMs since - it is always covered and stored in an air-conditioned garage when not in use.
In my recent ownership I have enhanced the car by fitting a set of 15-inch GTA-style alloy wheels, shod in brand new Michelin Primacy 4 tyres. (The car will also be sold with its four 14-inch original steel wheels and chrome hub caps, which are in great condition and shod with new Barum tyres.
Most importantly, a full Alfaholics ‘Fast Road’ suspension kit has been installed including all new suspension components and silent blocks throughout the entire car (feel free to check out the contents of this kit on the Alfaholics website). This upgrade completely transforms the road handling of these great cars but, at the same time, does not negatively affect the subtle ride quality that is present as standard from the factory. The cost for this kit and the fitting was over €4000. The original specification springs and shock absorbers will also be included in the sale, which were renewed as part of the restoration in recent years.
I also fitted uprated carburettor trumpets with RamAir filters (the original airbox and filter will be supplied).
Also fitted is a period-correct wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel and adapter (costing over €500!).
There are also original rubber Alfa Romeo floor coverings throughout (including the boot floor), which have been protected by premium Alfa Romeo carpet mats in the front and rear.
The car comes with a certificate of origin from Alfa Romeo, a jack, a spare wheel, and a large file of maintenance invoices detailing all of the recent (considerable expenditure).
A fleece-lined, tailored Alfa Romeo branded indoor car cover is also included in the sale.
The car is in absolutely terrific condition mechanically, cosmetically, and structurally with no rust present.
The few faults that I would mention are that the vintage Blaupunkt radio does not work (it may just be disconnected but I have never felt the need to investigate as I much prefer listening to the sound of the wonderful twim cam engine!), the fuel gauge can also be intermittently be temperamental.
The car’s last technical control was conducted in 2022, and was reported as a clean pass. A new test will be carried out as part of the sale.
This Giulia’s most recent maintenance was carried out at an indicated 39, 600 Kms by JL Oudin Automotive, which consisted of new clutch, engine, differential and gearbox oils, and all necessary gearbox and differential seals were replaced.
The car is now ready to be fully enjoyed by a new owner without any additional maintenance to expect.
I have a file of over 150 recent high resolution photos and a driving video of the vehicle which I am happy to share with any interested parties.
All in all, I can say with a high degree of confidence that this is one of the best of it's kind available today.
Thank you for reading my advertisement and please do not hesitate to call me if you would like to come and view the car or if you would like to discuss any of the details further.
Price - €26, 500 (which is approximately €8K less that what the car currently stands me)
Best,
Richard
