Description
The car is reliable and drives well, it is in good mechanical order. I purchased the car in 2009 and am the third owner, and have had many new parts, including air-conditioning unit, new ignition and door locks and heater blower motor, and the usual parts for routine maintenance. I had the car serviced by independent Citroen garages whilst it was my main car. I have only used the car as a second car over the past couple of years with only a low millage in this period. The cam belt was replaced in 2021 at 114, 678 miles, and front and rear brake pads in 2020 at 110, 104 miles. The Last MOT was in May 2023, with only a small repair to the exhaust needed.
The bodywork is excellent overall, the paintwork is very good and there are no dents. The chrome trim strips are very good due to being replaced mainly with new. There are a couple of bits to do however that would improve the car - there is an area of rust just next to the drivers side rear wheel arch (see photo), also the head lining has come away and is sagging after the heat of last summer! The Interior is still presentable but showing some wear here and there, e. g. a seam has come slightly apart on the drivers seat (see photo) and as mentioned above, the headlining has come away.
I have plenty of documentation, including the original sales invoice and most of the service history. I bought this car in 2009 as a runaround but ended up maintaining it like a classic as I really liked it. I have been pretty much all over the UK and into France with it over the years and it has been very reliable and comfortable. I had a tow bar filled in 2014 and for a while used into to tow a caravan which it did very well. I am only selling the car (reluctantly) as I no long use it and need the space.
