Description
A 1952 Series 1 80" with a unique provenance. Ex RAF body (RAF identification 35AA53), in RAF service 1952-1959. Original chassis then replaced by chassis from a mobile welder at an unknown date. No complete examples of mobile welders are thought to exist.
Good overall condition, including bulkhead. Everything is in good working condition. Very rare example of aluminium hardtop. Has bench cushions.
Very little driven over last 10 years, regularly maintained by local expert who could be contacted for detailed technical ”once over”. New period wiper added on passenger side, new battery. Spare wheel in immaculate condition, mounted on hood. Has had rebuilt steering box in 2022. Original period tyres.
An “oily rag” with a wonderful patina and which drives well.
